Zambia is not only one of the world’s poorest nations, it’s also a nation with one of the highest AIDS infection rates.

In the last 15 years, the average lifespan fell from 60 to 37.5 years. According to Wikipedia, 20 per cent of the country’s children are orphans today. That’s roughly 1 million girls and boys. A majority of the orphans receive no formal education, as only 1 per cent of the needy are able to call the orphanage home.

Since 2007, brand on fire has been supporting the pupils of the St. Michaels school with a free, warm and nutritious lunch every day via the Sambia Stiftung e.V. This ensures that the children won’t have to work and can attend class fed and fit.
